No time to say hello, goodbye

I have so much to do but so little time to accomplish it all. (This is gonna read like a to do list)

• send in application for the Los Angeles Bar Association volunteer position
• job workshop Monday, need to research speakers
• draft of pamphlet for POSC 100 due Sunday night
• POSC 120 reading notes due Sunday
• Sunday:
• pick up uniform at home before sift at 10:15
• pick up cake from Vanilla Bakery
• drop off The Divine Comedy, pick up Inception
• return the Jeffrey Campbell Tardy boots
• want: J Brand Jodhpurs in black and sharkshin (retail ~$225, ~$114 at outlet/Kitson with Janelle's discount)
• and probably a few other things I'm missing

Also, I definitely want to read more. I feel like my vocabulary and speech, not that they were so advanced to begin with, are declining--not good.

fucking shit

I rarely have furious bouts with my mom anymore (who does when they're 20) but when I do, they're incredibly vicious and spiteful. She's so cavalier and close-minded its impossible to get her to see my side, or anything besides her side for that matter. Not to mention her impossibly short temper, which only serves to fan the flame.

My mom has the ability to turn everything, even casual conversations, into full throttle arguments. Whatever I say, if it isn't to her liking, she makes it known immediately. The moment those unfortunate words or sentences part from my lips, her entire attitude changes. She becomes quite noticeably heated, snaps in response, and aborts the conversation before it even has a chance to actually take place. She doesn't accept or even acknowledge my opinions, thoughts, plans, or ideas, because to her they're wrong and irrelevant. She simply ignores them and broadcasts her dissension. For the rest of the day, she envelops the entire house and wherever she goes in this deafening anger and resentment. What a bitch.

Her state of mind is really, 'my way or the highway.'
I'll take the highway, thanks.

I'm having the hardest time trying to center the blog header and reduce the size. I'll probably end up fiddling with it a bit longer before I'm completely satisfied.
